Bed and Breakfast Insurance

Staysafe policy launches to benefit the bed and breakfast sector

The new Staysafe insurance policy, which covers both B&Bs and small guest houses, is specifically designed for smaller establishments with six or less bedrooms available to let. Accidental damage is included as standard on the policy, along with liability for employees up to £10 million and liability for paying guests up to £2 million and up to £40,000 for their effects.

Thousands of people enjoy memorable experiences in the UK whilst staying at B&Bs and guest houses and it’s important that these small businesses have the right insurances in place. Bruce Stevenson is delighted to help these businesses with this new insurance policy.

The policy not only covers B&Bs but also their owners, who receive personal accident cover for £100 a week as standard, as well as loss of income up to £500,000 for a two-year period and all risks worldwide cover on clothing and personal effects up to £20,000.

Accidental loss or theft of money, food spoilage up to £1,000 and goods in transit up to £2,500 are also all covered.

Edward Bruce, Bruce Stevenson’s chief executive commented,

“Owners face distinct challenges when they open their homes or other premises to visitors and so it’s important for them to have tailored insurance policies to help protect them.

We have our own 24-hour claims helpline to support B&B and guest house owners and our claims department has built up experience of dealing with all sorts of situations.”
